Witches Of The Waste

November 8, 2009

Lately, I have found myself bored with the fashion world. The immense amount of repetition has been getting me down. But ever since I laid eyes on the work of Serbian designer, Marko Mitanovski, my interest has been once more set aflame.

Never before have I seen such a perfect resurrection of fashion elements from long ago. His pieces simply drip inspiration, original to the core. I hope with all my might that these ideas trickle down the chain into some ready-to-wear versions.

Many more images after the jump!

No Disappointment In Sight

July 13, 2009

On a semi regular basis, I sing the song of love to my favorite men’s designer, Julius. Once again, with his new line, he has failed to disenchant me.

Bring on the tactical gothninjas!

Folding Time

July 11, 2009

One of the things I forage for when I’m sifting through the current collections is this: Fabric that folds or drapes like paper. And no ones does it quite like Dior, with their fleet of origami cupcakes.

Oh Look! A Distraction.

July 9, 2009

Greetings toadies.

Worry not! New snarky articles are on their way, but these things take time. So to keep you occupied, look forward to a few days of ‘Hey, look at this neat thing’.

Snark soon. Until then…………courage.

CHANEL

Usually, Chanel doesn’t do it for me. Too plain for my tastes. But look at this outfit! Simply divine!

Lascivious Louboutin

June 4, 2009

Once again, Christian Louboutin has awoken my shoe mania. This collection showcases a wide range of heeled delicacies, made even more palatable by their  complimentary setting in these photos by Peter Lippmann. One can only hope that the designs trickle down the chain into copies that we, the shoe devotees, can afford.

These scale heels are definitely a must have.

Nippon Net

May 16, 2009

Currently, men’s fashion has been dominated by the drape. The runways are covered with blokes sporting the scarf and sweater. An entire armada of walking coatracks has flooded the streets of every metropolis.

Now while I love the idea of the lads trying on a new trend, I can’t help but miss the silhouettes of yore. I can’t remember the last time I saw a dapper young gentleman with a tie and crisp collared shirt. It seems that tailoring has completely fallen to the wayside in lieu of outfits consisting of knit blankets.

I miss the sharp striplings,. Come back and visit once in a while, will you?

The Cypher Seraphs

March 18, 2009

Time traveling seraphs caught on film as they exit the lacuna between jumps. Each harbors a vast collection of vestments accrued throughout time. They don the true bricolage fashion equilibrium.
